ROUTES IN KURILSKY NATURE RESERVE
According to the legislation on Kurilsky Nature Reserve there are two routes for guided tours. The third route, Lake Peschanoe, awaits approval by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.

Golovnin Caldera Route goes along the unpaved road in the protective zone of the nature reserve, crosses its border and ends at the foot of Kipyaschee Lake caldera.
Tyatya Volcano Route goes along the coast of the protective zone of the nature reserve, from the mouth of the Kamyshovaya River to the Saratovka River and then through the protective zone of the nature reserve. Then along the Rubezhny Stream and the barrancos of the Tyatya Volcano until its peak.

Stolbovskaya Trail, circular type. Starts at the 15th kilometer of the route Yuzhno-Kurilsk — Golovino.
Cape Stolbchaty Route. You can walk this route two ways: from the 15th kilometer of the route Yuzhno-Kurilsk — Golovino along the Stolbovskaya Trail or from the locality at the 13th kilometer.
Stolbovskaya Trail — Cape Stolbchaty Route. A mixed route including both of the previous routes. Starts at the 15th kilometer of the route Yuzhno-Kurilsk — Golovino.

OTHER ROUTES ON KUNASHIR ISLAND
If the route you plan doesn't go through the nature reserve, the refuge or the protective zone, you can travel freely. But you still must follow the border zone rules and safety recommendations.

ROUTES IN MALYE KURILY REFUGE
You can visit the refuge without our guides, but you must inform us about your visit.
You can reach Shikotan Island by the steam boat from Sakhalin or Kunashir or by scow from Kunashir. In the refuge you can visit several routes of different duration and difficulty.
